The Yorkshire Geotechnical Group is holding its annual Presentation Competition at Network Rail's Training Centre in York.

Six presentations will be given by a range of young geotechnical engineers, including Paul Shepley of the University of Sheffield, titled 'Pile jetting - novel understanding through physical modelling'.

These will be followed by a presentation by Martin Preene of Preent Groundwater Consultancy titled 'Environmental Impacts of Dewatering'.
