Javier graduated in Civil Engineering from the Politechnical University of Madrid (Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos) with a MSc. in Structures and Foundations design. Due to his highest interest in Soil Mechanics he decided to move to France where he holds a second MSc. in Geomechanics from Université Grenoble Alpes.

Very interested in advanced numerical models for soils, his research path is focused on the limit state analysis of geotechnical works, aiming to develop within the already existing tool LimitState: GEO new features that lead to a more accurate and optimal design.  A second important scope is to simulate non-saturated conditions for soils and its usage in limit state analysis.
