Rui Zhang joined the Geotechnical Engineering Group after obtaining his MEng degree from Lanzhou University and Central South University in China, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering and Computational Mechanics.

His primary research interest is in analytical and computational methods in geotechnical limit analysis.
